I am bought the car from the original owner, he started the restoration of it some 10 years after he got it from the dealer (30 years ago!). His wife worked at a Datsun dealer and he was able to get free parts for restoration, I thought that was so cool! He striped the car complete down and fixed all the rust on the body. Then he under coated it and also sprayed the whole car and engine bay a copper color. Also new Bilstein shocks where put in and sealed. The body on this thing is just about spotless! only surface rust here and there. He told me that he was planing on putting in a Chevy V-8 and he also wanted to turbo charge it and installed 3 extra gauges in the dash, now some people would say the dash is ruined, and I was skeptical when he told me. But after seeing the job he did, I think it looks pretty slick and though I don't have any plans to turbo the car i'm keeping the dash the way it is. Take a look for yourself:

Anyways his restoration process was short lived unfortunately and it sat for 30 year till he decided to sell. I was lucky enough that found an old forum post i had looking to buy a 240z in the Southern Wisconsin area. And here we are now, I have bought my first project car and boy am I excited about it.
